Chris is a PhD student and has been funded by DIRC since March 2001. Her current research interest is the influence of emotion on human judgement and decision-making. Specifically, she has investigated the use of anticipated regret as an intervention to guide individuals towards more health-protective choices. She is now applying this approach to persuading computer system users to make security-conscious choices.
Chris graduated from City University with a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology in 1997. She has since worked as a Research Assistant on two Department of Health-funded projects and as a Research Nurse on Phase I clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry.
