Guy Dewsbury
Guy is a Social Researcher who specialises in the study of people and technology in the home. His expertise is derived from experience designing and co- building a number of 'smart homes' for older and disabled people as well as researching in this field for over ten years. He has published widely on smart homes, disability, telecare, older people, dependability and ubiquitous computing within the home. Guy is co-chair of the ‘International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) working group on Smart Homes and Ambient Assisted Living’ . Guy also runs the internationally renowned website SMART Thinking ( www.smartthinking.ukideas.com). Guy has also co-edited the DIRC inspired book on Responsibility and Dependable Systems' which is published by Springer in March 2007.
