Russell is a post-doctoral researcher at Lancaster University working as part of the Dependable Grid Services effort. Russell completed his undergraduate degree at Lancaster in 2001. He then continued to study for a PhD in the area of grid / web service negotiation under a DIRC EPSRC studentship, completing in 2005. Russell’s main research interests lie in the development of higher level grid / web service support mechanisms.

His hobbies include Cooking, Driving, and being opinionated on a variety of subjects.
