Michael Harrison
Michael is Professor of Informatics and Director of the Informatics Research Institute at Newcastle and is concerned with the development of methods of designing and assessing interactive systems. In particular he has been concerned with the scope and value of formal mathematically based notations in the development of such systems. He, with his group, is developing tools for their assessment against such criteria as human error proneness arising from problems including unpredictability, lack of visibility and mode complexity.
